What is the token?

Cartesi (CTSI) is a blockchain project aiming to bridge the gap between blockchain and traditional software development by introducing a novel layer-2 scaling solution. It allows developers to code smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) using mainstream software stacks instead of being limited to blockchain-specific languages like Solidity. This is achieved through Cartesi’s application-specific rollups with a Linux runtime, enabling more complex and computationally intensive dApps to be built with the tools developers are already familiar with. Cartesi’s approach to scalability and high fees on blockchains involves a variant of optimistic rollups, and it also features Noether, a side-chain optimized for ephemeral data, providing low-cost data availability to dApps.
